To accomplish this, ProCredit Bank uses the latest security program and has implemented numerous security processes. However, you should be aware that the Internet and emails can be used as tools for illegal purposes and activities. Therefore, we always recommend you to take some simple measures in order to be as safe as possible when performing various banking transactions.

  • To perform banking operations on the Internet, log in by opening your web browser and type in the address yourself.
Remember:
  • Treat all emails received (especially emails from unknown senders) with care and never click on links in these emails to visit unknown websites.
  • Install antivirus software, keep it up to date and run regular security scans.
  • Install and learn how to use a personal firewall
  • Install the latest security updates, also known as patches.

The most common questions about suspicious communication:

  • What is a suspicious communication (phishing)?

Phishing is an attempt to access sensitive and personal information through emails, text messages (SMS), phone calls or instant messages that appear to come from a reliable company operating on the Internet, but are actually fake websites, which are controlled by unreliable persons.

  • What information will I be asked for?

Phishing communications usually ask you to "update" or "verify" your account information. Through these communications they force you to click on the link they have placed in the email (or other forms) to update as soon as possible. This link takes you to their website. Any information you enter is stored by these people so that they can use it at the most convenient moment for fraudulent purposes.

  • How can I avoid being a victim of suspicious communication?

The key to staying safe is to be suspicious of any unexpected or unsolicited email, SMS or phone call, even though it may seem like it's coming from a reliable source. These emails are sent with the intention of capturing an active email address belonging to a customer who has an account with the institution they are targeting.

  • What should I do if I receive a suspicious communication?

If you receive suspicious emails, text messages (SMS), phone calls or instant messages, please inform ProCredit Bank immediately by visiting your nearest branch, contacting your customer advisor or calling the following number  +355 42 389 389. You can send suspicious emails to our following email address: kujdesindajklientit@procreditbank.com.al.

  • How to detect a "phishing" email?

Scam emails usually contain urgent or authoritative messages. Be sure to check for misspelled words, irregular company logos or strange email addresses.

Any type of action that does not resemble the actions you usually do in e-banking, we advise you to view as suspicious. When in doubt, contact ProCredit Bank by visiting one of our branches or agencies, or contact your advisor. You can also call the Contact Center of ProCredit Bank  +355 4 2 389 389.
